Part 5: Paul Tied Up In a Small Dark Room
Suddenly everything went black… Paul woke up, he had no clue how long he had been out… His head was throbbing, he tried to move his hands, they were tied up, everything was quiet and dark…
There was a small noise in the corner of the room and his thoughts immediately went to small creepy crawly things, like mice and snakes and spiders.
"This is were it pays to be a critic" he thought to himself, "I would guess this to be a cellar, it smells damp and musty, and it sounds like I'm underneath an apartment." All this was taken in in a matter of seconds, when he heard a door open a few feet away. A small glimmer of light came through the door, and he heard a voice he had hoped he would never hear again.
"So Darius, who did you pick up this time?" were the words uttered by that awful voice!
"Well my dear, I believe it's one of your friends."
"Oh...you know I hate it when you pick them, Darius!" she said with an evil smile.
"I know...but this was a very important friend."
"Oh?"
"He's right in there, tied to that chair...You didn't know I was a poet did you?" said Darius with a laugh.
"Ha, ha," Paul thought to himself, "I think I'm going to die from laughter, NOT, that was such a lame joke, I bet I could even do better than that, and I don't even like poetry"
"Well, I guess I'll see who you got this time" said Laura.
Paul heard her walk towards him and then heard a small gasp."WHY DARIUS!!!!! It's Paul!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
"Hi Laura, I didn't know we were such great of friends, last time we actually talked, I told you to shut up." said Paul. " By the way, what's this all about" he said in his calm *Paul Voice*. "What do you want from me?"
"Don't play dumb" replied Darius in a cold tone. "We know your sister is in Government work and we want the secret information that she has hidden on you."
"ON ME!!!!" Paul thought to himself. Out loud he calmly stated, "I don't know what you are talking about."
"Well you can't deny that your sister works for the Government." stated Laura
"I can because I don't know anything about that." calmly replied Paul.
"Oh puuuuulease are we honestly supposed to believe you?" replied Laura with a steely glare.
"Of course..." he stated simply.
"Since nobody knows your here, (we made sure of that)," she said with a menacingly sweet smile, "We can get on with what we want to do, but first, DARIUS!!!!" she yelled. Paul DESPISED that voice.
"Laura! I'm right here!! You don't have to yell!!!" Darius yelled back.
"Would you please search his things? She asked sweetly. "Now while Darius searches you, lets get down to business. We can do this the easy way, you tell me everything...and I don't kill you...or..." Another smile and a sweetly evil giggle."Where is the information? Where did she hide it?" she asked patiently.
"Who?" Paul asked innocently.
"Your sister Paul! Your sneaking little sister!!!" she told him, in a not so patient voice.
"Oh, her...What information?" he asked seriously.
"Paul I am a very busy person, and a not so very patient one, so tell me or else!!!"
"Listen Laura if you want to know so bad, why didn't you capture Sarah?"
"I'm asking the questions here! she snarled at him. All this time Darius had been going through Paul's jacket and backpack and hadn't found anything important looking except for a notebook, his *cute* flip-open cellphone and a pocketknife. Darius took it all out of the room and Paul could hear him talking to someone. Then he came back in and whispered something to Laura. She turned to Paul and said, "Well, my men think they might have found something...you'll be sorry if it's anything important."
"What do you mean?" Paul asked hesitantly.
"What do you mean?" she said mimicking Paul, "I mean that if we've found something important it will mean you have lied to us and it won't be good!"
"Well, maybe you just rubbed off on me..." he replied sarcastically, "I mean, you haven't exactly been telling me the truth either."
"If you don't stop talking NOW-"
"-Hey, I don't know why your all mad at me, first you tell me to talk...then you tell me to be quiet...how's a person supposed to know what you mean." he said with a slight laugh in his voice.
"Just you wait....You won't be laughing later!!" by this time Laura was boiling mad and Paul figured he'd better shut up. She left the room with a slam of the door.
Paul thought she'd be gone for a while, but she came right back in, walked up to Paul with a smug grin on her face and Paul thought to himself "This can't be good, they must have found something"
"We think we found what we've been looking for, We'll deal with you later!" she said with a look of glee.
Paul didn't think he'd ever seen her so *happy* before, so he figured this was as good a time as any to ask her a question. "Just what did you find Laura?"
She responded with an evil laugh and said, "We found, a computer chip!"
"What!!! Where!!!?" Paul asked with an anguished tone.
"What do you mean WHERE! You know exactly where!!!" she yelled at him
"ERRRGGGG!!!" Paul thought with a frown "Why doesn't she believe me!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
Laura mistook his frown and said, "I knew you knew something!!!!!!!! and we will be back...sooner then you think!" she left the room laughing hysterically to herself.
Paul now had some time to think and he was wondering how a computer chip had gotten on him. Then he heard some stomping on the other side of the door and a raging Laura burst through the door.
"WHAT IS IT!!!!!!!!!" she yelled at the top of her lungs.
Paul cringed at that voice and asked, "What is what?!!"
"The password!!!!!!! What is it!!!!!!!! Tell me NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!"
