Bunnies!

Sorry they aren't in order but I'm to lazy to go move them all in the right order...so just enjoy them the way they are please...=o)

This is Dorthea Duckfontein Dillworthy (Dots, Dot, or Dottie for short=o) oh, and by the way...you wouldn't understand the names unless you've read the Redwall books...more specifically, Lord Brocktree....

This is Basil Stag Hare (Basil for short) and his name is from Redwall...
and this is Ruby (Rubes for short=o) aren't you glad we have one simple name=o)

I'm sure you probably figured it out from there names, but Rubes and Dot are girls and Basil is a boy. We got them to breed, show, and sell, for 4-H and I think this is about how big they will get...I'm sorry it's such a short post, (information wise...) but ask any questions you want, because in May we'll be selling babies=o)

It wasn't really unanimous...but it was the most voted on=o) so I'm posting about the ten kids...and then I'll do the bunnies....and then the hike...and then everything else...=o)

Hmm....future baseball player....? He drug the bat and ball around almost all day=o)

Stick 'em up!

I made them pose for this one=o)
Jesse loved the cars=o)....and the sand;o)

group picture!

Hurry!! take it before they get away!!!=o)
They actually turned out better then I thought they would...I think everybody was pretty much looking at the camera....

On the way home...

Jonny took this picture...
Davey took this one....
and I took this one=o)

Sorry it's so jiggly and sorry that there's fingers in the middle once...Chord switched the camera with me once......but that's what it's like to have 10 kids around at once...I feel sorry for pre-school public teachers...especially since those kids aren't at all well behaved...

The Flood of '67

So...hearing that Fairbanks is flooding, reminded me of the '67 flood, and I was researching it today and wanted to show you some pictures...since most of you guys probably weren't alive, much less living in Alaska then...=o)

I read that the normal rainfall for Alaska in August is a little over 1 inch....but in August of '67 we got over 6 inches in just 5 days!!!
This is on Chena Hot Springs Road...don't ask were, 'cause I don't know...I've just lived here all my life...=o)
This is were the Fairbanks Post Office is now....
The green sign is pointing to were Alaskaland is (or Pioneer Park...to those new to Alaska...)
This is looking at Lathrop High School
Notice the white care almost all submerged...
...and the picket fence

This is the 1st National Bank on Gaffney Road

Look at how far under this house is...it's almost up to the top of the garage door!
I don't know how good you can see this...but see the water mark on the desk....?

This is a picture my Great-Grandpa Seay took during the '67 flood, that is Grandma Seay ( my Mom's Mom's Mom (or my Grandma April's mom=o) and Grandma April's brother, Mark...)

These are some pictures we went and took the other day of the Chena River out on Nordale Road....You probably can't really tell how much it flooded because I don't have any pictures of it before...but use your imagination=o)

Then we drove down to the flood control project and took pictures there....there was a major log jam as you can see from the pictures=o)

Since it was so clear we had to take a picture of the mountains=o)

This beaver swam right up to us....I don't think he even saw us, because he was looking for his house, probaby....=o)

There was a lot of fog, because the river was so high...

These were moose that we saw zoomed all the way in on our camera....

So....I meant to post this about a week ago...but I never got to it, so you have it kind of late=o) I hope you still enjoy it...
