I'm pretty sure I posted one of these last year, but I made another video essay for a scholarship contest. Enjoy :)

Silent Night

Our Christmas Program this year was mostly music. Anyone that wanted to play or sing told the Pastor and he put it all together with narration between each special. I wanted to play my harp...but I didn't want to play alone =o) So I asked a friend to play his guitar with me. I think it turned out pretty well, and guitar and harp sound awesome together!

You will probably need to turn the volume up to hear it, especially at the beginning (and don't forget to pause my music at the bottom of my blog)

Harp Video

Some people have requested a video of me playing the harp....so here you go =o)

This song is called "Menuet en sol Mineur" (it's French :P but I think it means "Minuet in G Minor)

Harp pictures

Ok, so I wasn't quite planning it to be this long before I posted pictures of my harp....when I said "I'll post them on here in a little bit" I actually meant later that day....but obviously that didn't happen. So I'm posting them now.=o)

It's not a huge harp, probably about 5 feet tall or so, it's called a Celtic Harp and this one only has like 30 or 32 strings or something like that, but it's really pretty!

I'm going to try to post a movie later on of me playing...right now I'm working on a classic that will be really pretty and I'm also learning Amazing Grace...so I'll see.

Yippee!!

I had my first harp lesson yesterday...it was really neat, and I'm going to take pictures of the harp I'm renting and post them on here in a little bit...
