Cum Libertate Iustitiaque onmibus (With Liberty and Justice for all)

Hi Miss Rebekah,

Here is the poem from Emma Lazarus. You probably remember it because you saw it alot earlier this week. But I like to write/type poems.

The New Colossus

Not like the brazen giant of Greek fame,

With conquering limbs astride from land to land;

Here at our sea-washed, sunset gates shall stand

A mighty woman with a torch, whose flame

Is the imprisoned lighting, and her name

Mother of Exiles. From her beacon-hand

Glows world-wide welcome; her mild eyes command

"Keep, ancient lands, your storied pomp!" cries she

With silent lips. "Give me your tired, your poor,

Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free,

The wretched refuse of you teeming shore.

Send these, the homeless, tempest-tost to me,

I lift my lamp beside the golden door!"

And here is a verse mom found in the Bible about liberty: For, brethren, ye have been called unto liberty; only use not liberty for an occasion to the flesh, but by love serve one another.

Galations 5:13

Well I hope you enjoy this post, for those who have never heard the New Colossus. Have a good day.
